WalMart Wines
Just got this from a friend and though you ... especially Lilith ... would want to know ...
BENTONVILLE, ARK(AP)-- --Some Wal-Mart customers soon will be able to sample a new discount item - Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The worlds's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery of Modesto, CA, to produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2 - $5 range.
While wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Wal-Mart brand wine into their shopping carts, there is a market for cheap wine, Said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at RogerWilliamsUniversityin Bristol, R.I.She said: "The right name is important".
So here we go:
The top 12 suggested names for Wal-Mart Wine..
12. Chateau Traileur Parc

5. Peanut Noir

*sigh*
I guess I live in the place where one has to walk three flights UP to get to the subway...cause here in Pa. you CAN'T buy wine or beer in any place other than a state run liquor store or a beer distributor!
But...if someone wouldn't mind...please send me a bottle of "I Can't Believe It's Not Vinegar" when it hits the Wal-Mart circuit! TY ever so much!
LOL@db!

Even tho,I don't drink anymore,I think $2-$5,is kind of expensive!
I have never seen it anyplace, except Conn.,but when I worked at
Sikorsky Aircraft,one of my nicknames(at work)was "Catman",
because everyday,at lunchtime,I would drink a bottle of"Pink
Pussycat" wine.It had a Black Label with a pink cat on it! Irish
P.S.One of the Wal*Marts,near here,is near a "lowerclass"town,
sotheir sales will probably be great!
