Well I am sure people have heard of it but I loved....
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
and another book I read I loved was called
The Reader...I have no idea who wrote it as I loaned mine out not to have it come back (the sign of a truly good book)!!!!
Sharni~ Mr. Lilith says he agrees with you!!!!! He says they are some of the best books he ever read!!!!Mr.Lilith asks if you read the Donaldson series?????

The "Shannara" series was great, but Dragonlance was better in my opinion ![Smilie](images/smilies/smile.gif) .

hmmm....i've read so many, but most are fairly popular, but here are some suggestions:
Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury (it's a little odd, but very good)
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card (best sci-fi i've ever read, whole series is great, i could go on forever about this book.)
the Prey series by John Sandford, starts with Rules of Prey and goes on from there through about 12 other books
ok, only two more, both really good science fiction (not sci-fi). The first one is Sphere by Crichton (great book if you haven't already read it) and the other one is Gravity by Tess Geritsen (probably the best book i've read in a while). Enjoy!

I'm with BamaKyttn and Mrs. Evil.....
The Earths Children books by Jean Auel
They are simply facinating!! And Mrs.Evil, no I haven't read the new one. Have you? Was it as good as the rest??
I've also enjoyed the Merlin series by Mary Stewart. Very, very good stories of Arthurian times.
I just plain love historical fiction!!

Radies ~ one of my fave Poe stories!!!!!!
Ash~ I read Sphere it was great!
I too am awaiting the paperback of the latest in the Auel series!!!
If you like that type of story I read another wonderful series called The First Americans by William Sarabande. These were really great!!!! They should all be in paperback now!!!

Ash... Ender's Game!!! It's been awhile since I've read it, but it's one of the best books I've read... And I'm sooo with you on the series, I was so stoked when Xenocide was published. I just saw the title on the bookshelf and knew it was another book about Ender. I've still yet to read Ender's Shadow though. I'm totally with you on Sphere too... I read that book cover to cover in one night.
Right on Clint... Have you read Desperation?
Anyone read the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever? Stephen R. Donaldson is the Author... Would be in Fantasy/Sci-Fi
