You're cold BUSTED!!!!!
WIjr so kindly informed Mrs. WI this morning that he had to serve a detention today after school...
for forging her signature on a "late assignment" notice.
Soooooooooooooo.....
Fess up, everyone! Anyone else do this? Were you good, or were you caught?
Personally, I don't remember the specifics, but I know I did it a couple of times and was never caught. I know I've written a few notes excusing me from gym, but I can't for the life of me remember if there were any homework notices.

WildIrish,
Been there. Done that. Was busted. The circumstances of the bust were such that the memory is still, ah, uncomfortable.

I was a teacher's kid so it was tough to get away with much. For some reason, I knew that the best way to forge a signature was to write it upside down. I was so good at forging my mom's sig that I could do it right-side up, too. I honestly can't remember why -- probably crappy grades on my Chemistry tests.

We've always been amazed at how similar all four girls in my family write just like my mother. Big brother wrote like...um...himself. Dad had the most beautiful handwriting for a man that I have ever seen. Even to this day it amazes me to see old notes from him. And, he wasn't even Catholic (they stress perfect penmanship...for those who didn't know that...stressed it with a ruler on the knuckles even), but I digress!
In all honesty...I never had a reason to forge my parent's signature. I could have done my Mom's, but would NEVER attempt my Dad's...it was too perfect and pretty! Not that I was a goody two shoes or anything...but I just gave them the note and took the punishment if one was deemed.
And better than that, when I was 18 (18 in Feb...graduated high school in June) I could write my own notes for ANYTHING I wanted to excuse myself from. I was "of legal age" in the state of N.J. in 1976! LMFAO! I got writer's cramp that year...which I am sure lead to my carpal tunnel syndrome now!
See what I mean about karma??????

LOL ... I had my dad's signature down cold (and he was a Dr.) .... but I never did his signature unless he told me to do it.... Mom's signature I could never do ... she has an interesting style of handwriting and I could never get it down ... but it would have been the same as how I treated dad's if I had ... but like Steph ... mom was a teacher ... at my school which was 4 grades and a total of under 150 students, couldn't have gotten away with anything even if I had used her signature! (Good thing I was one of those angelic types! )

I never forged either of my parent's signatures, but I forged my ex's more than once.
Even though I never forged my parent's signatures, I did lots of other things that they never found out about. Maybe it's because I look(ed) like a librarian, but I never got caught

I can't forge my signature, much less anyone elses.
I had a friend who could sell you a perfect signature, so long as he had a sample.

Does it count if I forged my mom's but told her as i was doing it.
it's a long story but i'll give you the overview, my mom is legally blind just recently digonosed, she can see shapes color and light but not much detail, so it's a good thing our signatures are alike
