America's most famous coloratura soprano and manager of the New Your Opera, Beverly Sills died on 2 july 2007 after a long battle with lung cancer. She was 78 yars old.

Sadly, too true. There are many who mourn this great lady's passing. She was, and will always remain, special.

I was saddened when I heard the news of her passing. My mom loved to hear her sing and I listened along with mom whenever I could!
