When did you/your kids stop trick or treating?
Just reading an email from a Pixie & was surprised to the read her "little" one prefers to dress up & give out treats at home this Halloween. I thought she was kinda young but I was pretty much done with trick or treating around 11 or 12.
What about you guys/your kids?

Unfortunately, it's not a tradition here in the UK and in general the only people who do it are tiny tots with their parents or teenagers who are just out to intimidate people into giving them money.
I have to admit that I usually ignore the door on Halloween and hope that none of the aforementioned teenagers take it upon themselves to 'trick' me by keying my car or putting a brick through the window. I often try to make sure we're out that night so it's not an issue.

 You're suppose to stop?
I thought it was just the 'treat' that was suppose to change.

LOL ^^^^
I think kids and parents lost some interest back in the 70s when there were so many reports of tainted treats. Cities and churchs tried to set up "safe" places around here to take kids for treats, but it just isn't the same as running around the neighborhoods knocking on doors. I bet we don't see a half dozen kids a year anymore and it used to be hundreds. Sad, but the grinch didn't just spoil Christmas.

Bummer of a development dicksbro. The tradition remains strong in Baltimore. Both of mine outgrew going out trick or treating by 13.

LOL @ Steph.
Kiddo is 9 but it's not Halloween yet. She could still change her mind and go door to door. Maybe not.
The last time I had went as a child was in 7th grade, only cause my friend wanted too.

She is 14 this year and it will be the first one where she doesn't go out trick-or-treating. She did ask if I would buy her some candy of course.

My two youngest are 12 and 15. They both went last year and I know my son (12) plans to go this year. He's a very young 12, so I'm very ok with it.
