All I knew about it was you were suppose to have your garden in the ground by now if you wanted a good one and that it was a big communist day of celebration.

I found it interesting as well ... the only thing I remembered about it was from elementary school (a VERY long time ago) was dancing around the Maypole ... but didn't know why it was done! In elem. school I don't think I would have understood the term "phallic symbol" |

Thank you, fzzy. Although Eugene W. Plawiuk gets some minor details of the ancient pagan traditions incorrect, it is very nice to see some acknowlrdgement of the holiday. Hope your Beltaine celebration was as fun as the one I was part of.
