Lightbulb The Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera

For all who have enjoyed the book, musical, or soundtrack - you'll enjoy the movie "The Phantom of the Opera". ALW retained artistic control, so the film is entirely in keeping with what opened on Broadway back in the ‘80s. Emmy Rossum plays a strong Christine and Gerard Butler is the Phantom. Patrick Wilson plays Christine's childhood friend Raoul, and Minnie Driver, as the opera's impossible diva, is great fun. If there is a downside, the film lacks a sense of mystery and danger.

Good Holiday Move.

Nothing like seeing it in the Theater...but I will likely see it when it comes out on video

Kleclere and I were talking the other day...I've seen it in the theater four times now, including on Broadway...and I'm scared I'm going to be disappointed. However, kleclere knows that he owes me a night at the movies and has been advised not to complain while I quietly sing along.
