Free to a good home...
...a large, old (but it still works just fine and is quite clean) 1400W Microwave Oven.
My parents are getting a new oven, and already set up a new microwave/convection oven, so the old Kenmore needs a new home. Delivery within the Chicago area can be arranged.
Shipping is NOT an option, so you have to be someplace I could deliver to, reasonably (i.e. Chicago and collar counties).
Other details:
Exterior dimensions:
15" h
18" d
24" wide
Internal dimensions:
16" d
10 1/2" h
14" wide
Comes with a removable glass tray on the bottom, removable metal rack with two slots (upper and lower), and temperature probe.
Send me a PM here if interested.

F.A.Q.
Q: Does it have a clock?
A: No, this model did not have a clock mode.
Q: Can I use it for a countdown timer.
A: Yes, if you program the time you want counted down, and set the percent power to Zero, you can use it for a countdown timer.
Q: Does it have a rotating dish?
A: No, but we used a couple of models of the 'micro-go-round' in it successfully for years.
Q: What's the temperature sensor for?
A: You're supposed to be able to plug one end into the microwave, and place the other end of the dish, and have the microwave heat up the dish to that temperature. I don't think it's ever been used.
Q: Is there a cookbook/manual?
A: I think so, but it's the only microwave cookbook/guide my mother has, and I don't know (yet) if she's willing to part with it.
Q: ONLY the Chicago area?
A: If you're just over in Indiana or Wisconsin, or further west than Kane County, Illinois or further south than Kankakee County, Illinois, we might be able to negotiate something. Like paying for my gas money to deliver it. PM me if this is the case.
Q: What if I'm FURTHER away?
A: Make me an offer I can't refuse.

Do you consider Nome local? (same continent)
It could be a nice scenic trip.

That is an idea dadist.....give it to a homeless organization to use in their kitchen, or a low-income day care.

Yeah a charity might be interested in taking it off your hands if you're not asking any money for it.

I'll mention making a donation of it to my parents. I dunno if they've had any other 'offers' yet.
