This is what I get for actually looking in my bulk mail folder. You dog lovers might get a laugh out of this...I was just looking at it going "What the fuck?"
Woof!

Actually......if I had a dog (some day.......as soon as the cat says ok, you can have a puppy..........or when he dies) I'm gonna have a chocolate lab.....and I'd LOVE to know what she is thinking!
The disturbing part to me is that it says it can be used for...["nearly"]....any breed.....but never differentiates the breeds!
P.S.......Do they have these for cats? I've always said.....
"Rocky? If I knew what you were saying....I'd pay better attention after 497 meows"!

Do you think dogs have different dialects of the same language? Or maybe completely different languages? I sometimes wonder if a German German Shepherd could understand one born and raised in the US
You know all they hear is "blah blah blah blah Rover. blah blah blah blah Rover blah blah blah blah blah" don't you?

LMFAO@zipededoo! Wow! And what if c.a.t. really spelled dog?
Actually....that's an excellent question....with boundries! There are such a thing as wild dogs.....and they bark at one another all the while they are hunting or playing or whatever.....and seem to understand and react to individual barks.........so maybe it's a language of the hood.....but could be translated in generality if they were dropped in another place far from home.......ergo, a dialect (or slang, if you will) of the same tone of bark!
Maybe it's more like Morse Code.....length and tone of the bark! Hey! I said maybe!
I do know this.........with every dog I've ever had...I could differentiate between an angry bark and a happy bark.....a playful bark and a sad bark........and so on! So......I have faith in this contraption that's been developed!

I have faith in the barks,..... NOT in the contraption. LMAO
Would you like to buy one of the “read-a-poem-to-an-ant” translators I just developed?

Oh, now come on! They've taught Coco (sp?) to sign! In "Day of the Dolphin" they speak to the mammals and they speak back....."Fa loves Ma"! LOL! Why, in this amazing day and age, can't we communicate with domesticated animals?
Course....there still is the factor that they can't make a roll of toilet paper easily unrollable when you first open the f'in thing!
OK....maybe this is far fetched! Though.....a certain baby cry can be differentiated (ie: change my poopy diaper, feed me now or I'll drive you mad)! Maybe this gadget could work with say.....all big dogs....or all small dogs.....the pitch, the length, the intensity.......it's possible! Oh...I just thought of something....maybe this gadget has to be programed.....for example, maybe you have to keep it tuned to your critter for a month or something and then it can distinquish your particular dogs bark patterns! Oh...I'm so smuckin fart!
OK...well....as soon as Rocky (my cat) gives me the official okie dokie....or croaks.....we'll see about this thingy!
*goes off to read Shakespeare to her ants* Hey! I got sophisticated ants! They don't live onna farm...they have an estate!

I know someone who actually bought one of those things! Its not worth $99.95. I am not sure if that is what she paid for it, but she says she can't even get her damn dog to bark loud enough for the sensor to pick it up! The things people go for!

Gee, paprclphd, could your friend listen for the dog to bark ... record it ... then play it back loudly?
Of course, then you have the question ... is that what the dog said, or only what Memorex thought the dog said?
Dang ... this is getting tough.
'Scuse me ... I need an asprin.
