Please help, I can't log on to pixies.
Hi, Can someone help me please? I have been a member for quite a while now and I have never had any problems until now. For the past few weeks I have been unable to log on to the site. I have the site bookmarked and now when i attempt to log on it is telling me that i need to register but I am already registered. I have reset my password a dozen times and right after i attempt to log on with the new password it isn't accepting it for some reason. As soon as I click login it does say that I am logged in but then my advar isn't there and I am unable to open anything because it keeps telling me I must register. I am getting buggy over this. I have two internet accounts one being Comcast which I don't use because i also have aol and for some reason I am not able to get onto pixies with aol it won't even allow me to contact any administrators my emails keep coming back undeliverable. Can someone help me please via email? Thanks I would be grateful for any help.

Hey Panty,
I have two internet providers I always use AOL to get to pixies I have it bookmarked and it automatically logs me in but in using AOL now at the log in point it is saying that I am not cookied and after i try to log on it tells me thanks for logging on but then I am denied access at that point????? I can get to pixies from my other internet provider but I prefer using AOL. Rihgt by the log in point it says not cookied??? Any clue what that means and is so would that have something to do with it? I want to post some new pics I have and I need to use my AOL account to post them. I don't have a email address set up with my other internet account I only use it for the cable modem. I have Comcast and AOL my email account is with AOL. Am I confusing you....hahaha Sorry. It is also telling me when i try to log in using AOl that the administrator needs to reset me or something like that nad it just keeps denying me access.

which browser and version are you using? Internet Explorer 5 or 6?
If you are using IE6, click on the top menu for "Tools" > then "Internet Options"
When the window comes up, click on the "Privacy" tab. Now, you can either:
- use the slider to lower the setting (possibly to low) so that it accepts the cookies
- Click on the Advanced button and override the cookie settings
- or click on the edit button to add the website to pixies to accept the cookie that vbulletin sends out on pixies.
If you are using IE5.5, from what I remember, you also go through Tools > Internet Options > then there's a tab, I forget which one but you can scroll through and you just put a check mark in the box that accepts all cookies.

another thing you can try is going to the usercp on this forum (link at the top) and going to edit options and enabling or disabling the option that says "browse board with cookies" and see if that helps.

It is something that seems to reoccur with AOL users. We had a spell last year where AOL users would sign in and then be accepted. Only to be told they were not as soon as they try to view something. You are correct it has to do with AOL and cookies I believe.
