Non-pixies activities (?)

I thought about starting multiple threads, but what the hey, lets go for broke here.

Answer any or all of the following:

What music have you been listening to lately?
What book/books have you been reading lately?
What movie(s) have you seen lately?
Anything else you've done 'offline' you want to share?

No sex please, or we'll have to go to another forum!

By the way, these don't have to be anything new!

Ok - i m the first so:
Music: Magnetic fields -69 Love songs. A great triple album of simple "alternative", yet hilarious love songs performed by stephen merrit!

Book: The Gap series - Stephen Donaldson. A charming sci-fi series which seems to consist entirely of a woman getting raped repeatedly (and it goes on for 5 books!), with some other plot stuff thrown in just for fun

And movie: Today i watch the animatrix, which was much better than the matrix reloaded

Next..................

Here are my answers:

Been listening to Blue Man Group's The Complex quite a bit, but also been going through a number of my other CDs.

Books: Just got a copy of Hardwired by Scott Ciencin in the mail today, and already started it. Otherwise I've been going through a lot of my other stuff there as well, re-reading some Star Trek novels, some comic strip collections, and might re-read a mystery series.

Movies: None recently, though I did pick up the DVDs for Die Another Day and the 2-disc rerelease of A Bug's Life. I'm waiting to watch them with a gal friend who said we could watch them at her place, but that was a few days ago and it hasn't happened yet. (I think that might be a brush-off .

Oh and I do have one confession:
After learning Monday I had won two free tickets in a drawing held at a Barnes and Noble store location, I took the train into Chicago late yesterday and saw Miss Saigon. Then I came home on the 11:40 pm train....

I just bought Metallica’s latest album, so I’ve been listening to that in the past couple of days...also a lot of miscellaneous downloaded stuff …Dandy Warhols, Kiss, some 80’s new wave, etc.

I’m reading Tales of Protection by Norwegian author Erik Fosnes Hansen. It consists of 4 novellas, each linked in subtle ways. Challenging but highly entertaining.

Last movie I saw was Hitchcock’s Notorious.

Movies ~ Last thing I saw was One Hour Photo, I like Robin Williams as the Creepy dude.

Book ~ My before bed books is currently Enemy of the State by F. Paul Wilson. My lunch hour book is the 1st Anita Blake Vampire Hunter by Laurell K. Hamilton and my non-fiction (just pick it up from time to time) I am reading the legislative rules of IL handbook (Dry 900 page reading)

Other Activities ~ Thinking about joining a hard rock band with a few friends of mine, but is way out as of now. Doing lots of landscaping and trying to plan a vacation for the family.

Music.....Got a mix burned and I pop that in on the way to work. Everything from Kid Rock to Simon and Garfunkel (and lots in between). Have a jazz station on my stereo when I get home......to mellow out from all the pop tunes they force me to listen to at work......arrggggg!

Movies.......Don't make me go there again!!!!! Though I did re-watch Major League on TV this past weekend. I can't help but watch that movie!

Book(s)........Still trying to swallow Desperation (Steven King).....I get into read mode and devour a few chapters, then it lays around for a while till I get the urge again. Also, a friend sent me some books lately and I've just started Mistress by Amanda Quick. Gonna get on The Talisman by Steven King as soon as I'm done Desperation.

Other Stuff.......I'm taking my tanks to be hydro'd this week and my regulator to be inspected and parts replaced (if necessary), so we may be diving if the weather allows this weekend. Been walking alot to get in shape for diving. *Looking at skip with puppy eyes to let him know I would love to join his band if/when it gets started! LOL! Putting in lots of perennials this year. Taking some windows out and reglazing and painting them this year!

Movies... Last movie was Finding Nemo with my son... a cute movie.. but NOT the best that Pixar has done.

Books... haven't had the chance to read any lately... So I have limited myself to online erotica... LOL

Other Stuff... Taking time out in the evenings to go to a friend and play cards (Phase 10)... taking my son to one of the amusement parks in the area (thank heavens for season passes).

Steph, looks like you caught the concert tour date - the original Chicago date/location was cancelled, and I see they've got it rescheduled. But don't forget we're one of the cities that has one of the daily non-touring productions, so YOU should come HERE.

Sharniqua, I discovered today that the puzzle company Wrebbit has a few in a theme you might actually like, then you could glue and mount them
