On Sunday, Iraq beat Saudi Arabia to win The Asia Cup. What makes this an especially memorable event is that the three star Iraqi players represented the three major sects in Iraq ... Sunni, Shite, and Kurdish. What a wonderful display of what might be possible in that country torn by so much violent history.

Hat's off to the Iraqi national team in their victory.

Good for them!

They have had so little to celebrate over the last 25 years or so, let them savor their victory over the Saudi team.
