Needed: help with a webcam

Someone gave me a webcam and the setup disc to go with it but I can't get it to work. If anyone has any knowledge of such things please IM me or place a post. Many thanks in advance

i can tell you now that this is a complicated area and depends quite a lot on which programs you are using... for instance..... my webcam works fine with msn messenger... but actually kills yahoo dead!! despite saying it is yahoo compatible

I've fought with different webcams forever it seems like. First, what kind of webcam is it, and second, what OS are you using?

Ahhh, Xp caused all kinds of trouble with the IBM cam I've got. I had to search all over for a new driver. More than likely, even though the installation disk says it's compatible, it's probably not playing nice with XP. I Googled "Micro Cam" and most of the reviews I read were people complaining that it doesn't work with XP. Being the resourceful guy that I am, I also Googled "Micro Cam XP driver" and came up with this site.

http://www.helpdrivers.com/ingles/l...s&perif=camaras

You should be able to select your cam from the list, get the driver and be off to the races. If not, let me know.
