Rings & Things
Those of you who are in relationships... Is there something you wear everyday that your SO gave to you? This can be anything from a wedding ring to a 25¢-machine necklace, or not even jewelry. Is it something prominent, that everyone can see? Or is it something you keep hidden, a private token? Do you tell people what it represents?

I wear the ring he gave me for Christmas on my left hand every day. I also wear the earrings he surprised me with a few months ago as often as I can, and I've even made clothing purchases based upon my ability to wear those particular studs in my ears to match.

The first night my boyfriend and I went out together, we went dancing. As we left his place to go there, he found this stretchy bracelet with wooden beads (a moon, a cloud and two stars with round beads) and asked me to wear it. I've worn it everyday since then!

I've worn my wedding ring, since the day that we were married!(May 1 1965).
The only time, that it's been off,is when I had a piece put in it a few years
ago.I think that I'm superstitious about it.I wouldn't put up with me,for 40+
yrs,but I don't have a choice! Irish

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww...I'm so lovin seeing a thread from you hun!
*sniff, sniff*
Sooooo...ahhhh...YES! I have my "secret" stuff from him.
Anyone who goes in my wallet will be dumbfounded. Years ago he was munching on some cereal and the prize inside was a "ghost finder". It's a cellophane, ghoul shaped, entity. The trick is...you put it in the palm of your hand and if it curls on each end you are surrounded by GHOSTS (Duh...cellophane curls with heat..your body heat..from your palm...lmfao!). I am soooooooooooooooooooo haunted!
Another cereal prize, love thing...invisible ink message...in my wallet forever! He wrote "I heart(<---actual heart) you" in invisible ink and gave me the pen to scribble over it to see the message.
One more thing I was told to keep FOREVER! We took off for Florida with no destination, no job, nothing but our cat, our car and our scuba gear. The first "beach" we got to (Ft. Lauderdale), he picked up a tiny shell and told me I HAVE to keep it forever!!! It's in my purse ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has no idea I still have the ghost finder. I think I'll spring it on him in the morning...lmfao!

i have my "Spahhhrrrklieee" engagement ring and then a necklace from Mayhem that has an "M" in silver and diamonds. He put it in an envelope and gave it to me before my flight back to the states and told me not to open it until i was back in the states. i opened it right as i saw land under us, and just sat there and BAWLED my eyes out. the necklace and ring have only been off for 2 weeks since then due to a crappy job. otherwise i never take them off.
i have a silver lizard toe ring that i bought when i was visiting Booger and Soda right before my trip over to the UK. I rarely take that off

i have a silver ring on my pinkie finger from Lizz that she gave me to wear as my engagement ring. The only time it has been taken off is for cleaning it and then it never left my hand.

I guess one thing I always have on me (no choice, really!) is the tattoo I had done for my two daughters. It depicts a pack (deck?) of cards with the top card a "Two of Hearts", and the Chinese symbol for Love as the centrepiece. Originally I was going to have one of the hearts done in black, to symbolise my eldest, but I decided to leave it as is.
I'm sure there's a thread about Tat's somewhere with a pic of it, but I can't be arsed finding it!! (Sorry, just one of those days!)

I dated a jewelry maker & love the silver ring with the thin red line he made for me at my request.
I still keep my wedding ring & because it's not a traditional ring, I wear it sometimes, too.
