She is playing in the CHL - Central Hockey League. The NHL is on strike. This league is a n independant league mostly located in the Mid-west and Southern States. There is another league that is similar to this called the American Hockey League. Most of these teams are farm teams for an NHL team. The AHL is not on strike either.
