Memorial Day Weekend- Gas Prices?
We heard prices were supposed to be at a record high for this weekend. Since we were already at $2.19 when they said that, I expected about $2.25. Wenseday I saw it was down to $2.09, so I put in $10 to get us past the weekend. In actuallity, it'll get us likely to next weekend.
Anyway, today I went over to the bank to make a deposit, and gas was at $2.05. So, when exactly is it supposed to go up?
How bad is it in other parts of the us?

I can still find one local convience store/gas station round here that has reg. for $1.95...but the pumps are backed up to kingdom come!
We've decided to spare dad-in-law a fill up on the boat (down the shore in Cape May, N.J.) of about $150.00-$200.00 (he'll not hear of us chipping in) this weekend and wait this gas gouging out and we'll visit when the prices come down a bit.
We're staying home this wekend cept to go on a movie date (maybe). Doing yard work and having peeps over for a BBQ...stuff like that is all!
Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

$2.09-$2.11 in Madison, Wis. So much of our paychecks are now being used for our commuting fill-ups!

That little bit there is why I am suddenly SOOO glad we only drive 1 car, and that while I'm a stay-at-home, my husband works about a 5 minute walk away. We used to fill up at least once a week when we lived outside of town, and now, a half of a tank can last us 2 weeks. Makes it REAL nice. It also helps that we have a walgreens on the corner, so if we run out of simple things like milk, bread, juice, etc, we can just walk down there. Kids love it cause when we walk down there, they get an ice cream treat.

I saw $1.99 here in town and in the next town over I saw $2.07....who knows. We still need it to go, so I am afraid I will have to keep buying it.
