Side Effects

Hey all,
I hope all of you are doing well. I just wanted to drop a note about anti depressants. I have finally been on some since I'd say the end of March(as I've had a lot of "ups and downs" as I'd call it-for a LONG time). Prozac was what I first went on, and while I was on the lowest dosage and feeling great, the anorgasmia effect took place, and even while I always enjoy sex with my boyfriend and love him more than anything, the side effects prevented my from being able to have an orgasm. I would just like to report that for about 2 weeks now I have been on Serzone (which is currently under some speculation with the US about no longer being able to be sold here, I've heard). If anyone has had the same kind of trouble, I'd highly recommend this brand or Wellbutrin (which I haven't taken before, but I have heard good reports from others about it). I am now having great sex WITH orgasms just like I always had, and am even more happy. I didn't feel "complete" having that aspect of our sex lives missing...even though the act in itself is very enjoyable, it's "the icing on the cake"

When I was Fluoxetine (Prozac) for a time I went totally off sex for a while, but as I started to improve that side effect went away, so maybe it could have doen the same with you.

For women especially, many of the antidepressants (Prozac, as you said, being one of them) don't take away your desire to have an orgasm but do take away your ability. I had decided that I would rather be depressed than not be able to orgasm; that in itself was very depressing. I am not familiar w/Serzone, but I have been taking Wellbutrin for years, and I have my ability to orgasm back again. I know Wellbutrin isn't for everybody who needs an antidepressant, but I am very thankful that it has worked well for me.
