I have this place in the woods, a spit of land that overlooks a pond. I usually get a bottle of wine, some cheese (and I always have my sleeping bag in the car), and go there and stay the night. It's too cold for that at the moment, but the first warm day ...

Back home, I'd drive out into the arroyos. Here, there's a coffee shop I love, I'll go hide in the museum, or if the weather permits I wander through the botanical gardens.

If it's a really foul mood....I go to work and throw myself into an experiment. How's that for twisted.

I have a favortie country drive that leads out into the backwoods of Texas. I go out there and drive and think, see the scenery, park on the side of the road and enjoy the fresh air. Its great to live in TEXAS!

My favorite place.. too far away... beach at Point Magu CA... *sigh*.... that place holds my deepest secrets...

I norm just go for a long long walk around the hill near my house or just into my room with some soul music and a bottle of whiskey,

I either go to the gym for a few hours (sweating puts everything in perspective) or I cuddle up with a good book in bed, and lock the door.

I go to the mountains when I need to be alone or things get to be too much to handle. Do some soul searching. Gets me in touch with my inner self without outside influence in my decisions.

If the weather is good I ride my motorcycle. Fortunately for me here in the South I am able to ride about 10 months out of the year.

On Sat last fall I left home with no particular place to go in mind and wound up in Alabama about 80 miles from home before I realized it. While I was there I found a great Bar B Q place for lunch. I wound up riding about 300 miles on that little trip but it did help to clear my head.
