What wud u do????????
Im not in a huge delima in any way shape or form. But i was given a bit of .........well shocking news. i found out my GRANDMA is DATING a man that is my age (24). i was inshock for the first 5 min , but all the time i was thinking WOW my grandma is so awsome!!! i luv her so much and am glad shes happy. she told me shes in her second child hood and has tried to discourage the guy but he keeps telling her how great she is and how happy she makes him. she says they cant stop laughin when they talk. heres the odder (is that a word) part. she has never MET him . its all online (yes she knows all the warnings of be carfull and that , ive told her and so has the family) he is in prison (i dont wanna get in the whys or hows but ill leave it at he was a dumbass teen who decided to take the drugs offered by friends and fucked up and is now paying for it ) she has told me he the wardens personal assistant and is even trusted enough by the warden to take care of his kids and dogs. the wardens wife is the reason that he and my grandma have talked on the phone (shell sneek him calls) its all a very confusing situation. hes gettin out for a 1 week paroll in a few months and shes gonna drive to see him. of course im worried about her where thats concerned but shes smart (extremly) and i know she will stay round ppl and stay safe. my uncle is LIVID my mom is in shock and i am just gonna stand behind my grandma and giveher all the support i can. she deserves to be happy. it is odd that my future(maybe) grandpa is no older than me tho..
so the question is, what wud u do if it was ur grandma???? or ur mother or sister or whatever

Oh my....
i'll have to think about this one. But snap reaction? If shes smart enough, then she should be OK. If she's comfortable and it works out, and they're happy then perhaps shes entitled to it.

nikki1979---I'm not trying,to sound like I know it all,but I have been riding for 44+ years, & been in the motorcycle lifestyle for
most of my life.I have known, many,"Bad" people. From what I can
tell you,the person, that looks the worst,is the nicest & the person, that looks trustworthy,is just the opposite!Your Grandmother,is probably old enough,to read people. You'll just have to trust her judgement. As Toby Keith(country singer) told
Dan Rather,in an interview, the girls usually end up with the guys,
that their mothers, told them to stay away from. Irish

And.......NOT that it's that big a deal.....but just that I'd like to compare the age difference to get a better handle on the shock of your family. TeeHee! Ohhhhhh.....I'm so bad, ain't I?

i heard through a friends friend once about a similar situation. turned out the guy was scum and was just after some kind of inheritance. i really really hope thats not the situation here. as you say, you trust your gramma and her judgement. just wanted to open an eye for you just in case.

For me the best thing you can do Nikki is let her know your there to give her support if she needs it and just keep your ears open to what she feels able to talk about. She may need to know that your support is there if she feels she's being rejected - not sure if thats the right word - by her family.
Everybody deserves to be happy no matter what their age.
