What is your all time favorite kid's book? I am working on a ppaer and was curious. I know many of you are voracious readers so what book did you love as a child or do you love now?

I've always loved "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silvestein, and "In the night kitchen" by Maurice Sendak

Stardust wasn't really written as a kids book, just a fantasy story. The one's he's (Neil Gaiman) written specifically for kids were Coraline, The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish, and Wolves in the Walls. Stardust is probably more of a young adult and up story.

"Fox in Socks" is a good one, along with the sequel, "Oh, Say, Can you Say?" Then there's PD Eastman's "Snow", which is great if you read it in bed to your partner, and replace every instance of the word "snow" with the word "sex".

All time fave? Hmmmmmmm... I know Goodnight Moon is a contender. It just brings to mind a warm, cozy, and loving home.

Hmm, depends on the age-range you're looking for. My 2 all time faves to read to my little one are Goodnight Moon, and I'll Love You Forever (Robert Munch). Growing up, I loved the Chronicles of Narnia series and Anne of Green Gables

Where the wild things are .... (I think that's the name of it) and my other favorite ... (I never can remember the actual name of it ... I just go into the children's book area and tell them it's the book that says ....) "love you forever, my baby you'll be" (or something like that

Seuss is a classic of course!

Fzzy you and naughty angel are speaking of the same book!!! How cool! If you like I'll Love You Forever you should check out his other books. They are hysterically funny; Mortimer, I Have to Go, and Thomas' Snowsuit.

I have to agree with Aqua on Goodnight Moon. But there's a book that we bought for my daughter when she was about a year called "Guess how much I love you". It's a story about a father rabbit and son rabbit trying to out do each other on how much they love the other one. great story
