A nap . . . if that doesn't work, I'll pop some Tylenol. Extra strength, of course.

BC powders they are a bitch to swallow but they work better than anything else I have ever tried. If that doesn't work I would recommend 2-3 shots of Tequila. It may not help the headache but you won't care.
Hope you feel better.

Well................... as one who suffers from headaches and MIGRAINES (suck). And from one who had a mini-stroke from the prescription medication (Imitrex) received for Migraines... I would say be careful.....
My parts were broke as well... got that taken care of... so daily headaches became a thing of the past. Still suffer from MIGRAINES, but they aren't as frequent..... now I can just give myself a shot in the ass.... (picture that - in dire pain, wanting to die and me with a needle)
If you notice that the headaches are more of a hormonal fluctuation and seem to be more prevelant around your "time", try some of those over the counter pre-menopause medications.... I know of some who will swear by them..... Black Kohash works for some as well....

Usually if I even get a headache it is from drinking a bit to much and not rehydrating my body. So my cure is drink plenty of water w/2 tylenol. Then drink some more water.
Good Luck Lil dear.

If I haven't eaten ... usually a bite to eat helps loads, otherwise, I generally go with Tylenol. I've often tried a nap but seldom seems to help me.

When i get migraines...my vision goes...i've learnt to tell when ones coming on now and if i take pain meds early it doesnt get to the full-blown-chop-my-fucking-head-off stage
A bad one lays me up for a few days...i tend to sleep...if i do anything else it tends to re-trigger it

I use "advil" for my everyday kinda headaches. Extra strenght. But when I get a migraine, it's "tylenol 3's with codeine" and cold compress and I lock myself in a completely dark room and hopefully when I awake it's gone.

I'm not a big pill popper if I can help it, but Ibuprofen and Paracetamol used together, can be a life saver.
I can usually tell what my headache is caused by and can alleviate it accordingly. Hunger headaches are the worse because if you eat something too sugary it can make the pain worse and if you don't have something sugary enough then the pain continues. I've found a SMALL amount of PURE orange juice is the quickest cure for that.
For most other things, sleep is usually the best cure, although I only know one way to get to sleep during the day so I'm not sure if it's THAT that cures me or the snooze afterwards!

There are people consuming moderate amounts of cannabis against their chronical pains. Dunno if this helps, but at least you shouldn´t drive afterwards.
These ppl claim it does not cause addiction and is less dangerous than nicotine or alcohol.

I get migraines, usually controlled by Imitrex. My ex gets migraines, too, so our 2 kids didn't have a chance. Both our son and daughter get them, but my daughter's migraines have been so severe and so frequent that she has missed a tremendous amount of school because of them. In fact, she was out more days this semester than she was there. She built up a tolerance to Imitrex to the point that it doesn't work anymore. She's been in experimental studies for teens with migraines, and we've tried just about everything under the sun to prevent/eliminate them. Once in a while chiropractic treatments will give her some relief, but it's not unusual for her to have stretches of them that last for days. She's even been to the hospital emergency room a number of times when they have been at their most severe. One preventive that usually works well for people is very small doses of serotonin-uptake inhibitors (a certain type of antidepressants), but she is allergic to them. Sometimes I worry for her as far as how she'll ever get through college or hold down a job if we don't find a solution soon. She gets so depressed about it and feels she has no control over her body, which, I guess, to a great extent, she doesn't. She gets vertigo and vomits with hers often, too, and it makes it impossible for her to study.
Headaches are just the pits.

Two fixes, depending on the problem...
1) If it is a sinus headache, the fix for me is Tylenol sinus.
2) Anything else, Advil or Extra Strength Tylenol.
Now, if it is my "other" head that is aching, well....
