I have picked up a few words over the years from visiting family in various parts of Ontario, i.e. napkin = serviette. Have also picked up enough to decipher birth, marriage and death records from studying Mr. Sprinkles family geneology. Quite a few were from the Ottawa area and at the time many of the church records were recorded in French. But to carry on or even understand a conversation.........non.
