Ok, I'll probably get done for this, but on the news here tonight, I heard that the PM won't be committing anymore troops after this. He's been under a lot of pressure coz us (public) don't think that it is our fight to be involved in. I do understand the need for the world to be safe and a peacekeeping force in place.

Geographically it's a pain in the ass for us (australia) to get up to the middle east or wherever. The US and UK are much closer than we are. Now I don't wish to get into a politcal discussion over this, but it seems to me that from where we are, we are kind of like the third wheel. Now I do realise that if we ever came under threat, the US and UK would be here in no time. So the hand shake is returned.
