Hmm... Wegman's... that narrows down where in NY you might be  I also agree, one of the best super markets in the US. They go very much out of their way in the produce section to keep it fresh (the super Wegman's here gets delivery from local farmers in the summer twice a day!).
In any case, out here the two major players are Wegman's and TOPS. There are some other independents and also there are a pair (I think, one for sure) of Super Wal-Marts within 30 mins of each other.
