Welcome back to Pixies, and home. Sorry to hear your greeting at the airport was less than warm - when you came back to the states did you connect through DFW? I'm guessing no, as I know they have created a wonderful USO lounge as well as have volunteers that are greeting each plane that contains servicemen to let them know we are thrilled with their service and pleased to see them back on our soil.

It's my understanding that troops come through two airports DFW and maybe Atlanta (?) before they connect on a flight to their home destination... volunteer groups in DFW have made it their belief that every soldier regarless of their ultimate destination should be celebrated as soon as they hit American soil.

And Lixy, I think, unfortunately, just as with Vietnam there are groups of people that do not support the war.. OR.. the troops that are just doing their jobs. As sad as it might be not everyone realizes that these men and women enlisted to serve their country and should be honored, even if they disagree with the administration's decision to fight a war.

Sorry to have clogged up your thread WildBill.
