My advice (keep in mind I'm probably just as "rusty" at this stuff as you) ... treat it more like an opportunity to meet and get to know someone who you've never met before (not as a date, but just a chance to sit down and get to know another human being) and go with the intention that you are going to have fun ... whether or not he does is up to him. sending you wonderful wishes for the evening!
