Just had to tell this one....When Mr. SS was in the Marine Corps there was a Capt. Marvel. I guess he had a lot of trouble when he'd have to identify himself over the phone, and such. "This is Captain Marvel." "Yeah, right, and I'm Superman!"
He was taken prisoner by the North Vietnamese, but survived and was released with the other POWs in '73. I saw his name in the newspaper at the time and commented about it and that's when Mr. SS told me he knew him. |
