Noddy and Big Ears (Brit 1950's kiddy reading staples) were

taken out of some libraries because:-

1. they slept in the same bed.

2. their dis-respect of the law (Mr Plod the Policeman)

3. the naughty people in Toytown were golliwogs, taken by
some as a racial slur. Later changed to goblins.

BTW Bob the Builder (modern Brit kiddie icon) had his own

float in the Sydney gay mardi-gras.

Also did you know that the 'Rainbow Warrior' was named after

an Australian Aboriginal resistance fighter during the white

invasion of Australia? Tactics worse than the Mau-Mau.
