I tend to disagree with you mate. The soldiers have no choice, they were posted there and they have to follow orders as they swore an oath to obey orders when they signed up.

I was posted to Vietnam but a change of goverment in Australia at the time meant that I did not have to go. i thought personally that it was a shambles and we should not be there but I was ready to go because I was a serviceman and it was my duty.

Those prisoners were doing their sentence and I am sure that if any had medical problems then they would have been placed where their health was assured.
