If it's any consolation,I watched a show,the other night,that said
that if you figured in the cost of living differences,the prices,were
higher,at the end of the Carter administration!When I worked at
Sikorsky Aircraft,as a Flight Mechanic,$3.90/hr was BIG bucks.This
was,around !969.I had a Firebird,set up for Drag Racing,
commuted about 22 miles each way & I was pissed off,when
Sunoco 260 went to (approx) .57/gal.It's all relative!Unfortunately,this is 2004 instead of 1969.Also,the world demand
is much higher.Sorry,but I would rather look at things as the
glass being 1/2 full then 1/2 empty. Irish
