There was similar email doing the rounds a few years ago - about the time of the fuel protests here in the UK. Basically in that one it told how you could "force" the oil companies to lwer their prices by everyone for a month not using for e.g. Shell. Thus hitting them in the profits making them drop their prices to encourage people to return. If this was repaeted for evry oil company they would get the message. I don't know how effective it would be but I would have thought it would have more effect then the single day boycott. Trouble here in the UK is though that the government takes £8.00 for evry £10.00 you spend on fuel. To them the driver is the goose that lays the golden egg.
