Whilst I agree that the victims have not consented to their images being available on the www, the fact is that they are out there and nothing that you or I can do will change that. A further sad reality is that the victims' identity has not been protected whilst the rapists' has.

For me the disgrace is the original abuse of consent, one that is being used across the world as we speak to ensure that the US has lost both the war for hearts and minds in Iraq and anywhere else.

The rest of the world is looking at these images and drawing their own conclusions. I look at them and feel profound and unforgiving shame. Not to see the faces protects the viewer from the full horror.

You probably do not realise it but the US army is being seen across the Arab world to have broken one of the fundamental rules of war as proscribed by Mohamed. This means that a further percentage of muslims will now accept acts of indiscriminate terror against us.

I could go on, but there you go.
