We spend 1/3 third of our day working, 1/3 sleeping and 1/3 online at Pixies. Why don’t we divide up the day into three 8 hour blocks?

Or why don’t we try four 6 hour chunks?

Because we divided up the complete rotation of the planet into 24 increments and we are no longer an agrarian society who’s boundaries are visual ones.

Isn’t it funny how we chuckle at the clumsy ways things were done in a historic setting and how we all seem to want to be associated with any major event or change that improved something...................... unless we are the ones that actually have the opportunity to make the change. LMAO Then we react like the first animal to see fire.

A lot of you that have been here a while know how I feel about trying NOT to stay stupid in spit of how “comfortable” it may be. http://www.pixies-place.com:81/foru...ic&pagenumber=3

Technology is not something that everyone here is not aware of and happily taking full advantage of. Yet when we are banging our heads repeatedly, against something that has had a better way worked out for a long time, we go into Stuck-on-Stupid mode. To think about what time Sharni and GG may be available here is an in-your-face example that all of us deal with all the time. It’s NOT something that, because we are farmers and when can we catch the ox and plow the field before it gets dark again, we have to be concerned with.

It was a mere single century ago that distributed electricity and illumination changed EVERYTHING for the entire planet. And it has been here longer than any of the transportation modes that now speed though time zones like shit through a goose. What is the reluctance with accepting a simplified method to uncomplicate an ever more important factor of our lives? It’s not a question of good or bad here. Only the efficient use and monitoring of time that is thrust on all of us every day, like it or not.

The 24 hour system is NOT “military time” as often referred, but one the military has used for a long time. The cost of converting, in time itself and error is totally unnecessary and there isn’t a person who’s been in the service that hasn’t learned to use it within a week. As most everything in our lives is rightfully becoming digital, this is just one aspect that can not be handled without added cost and programming.

There just isn’t any justification for not changing and there are many for accepting and using it.

I’ve done consulting research and engineering for many years and I’ll leave you with the post below this that I often give to clients.

(it also makes it confusing when I am trying to get your panties off in the evening and you are trying to put them on in the morning)
