Mae Hon, we all need space for ourselves. Have you by chance talked about the basis for his anxiety? Maybe even a few chats with a therapist would be of service. I know too that the suggestion of counciling may bring on further anxious moments but there's got to be some reason he feels so insecure and it'll be in both your interest to find out what's up with it. I wish you the best with this and you needn't apologise for asking questions or seeking advice here. That's what it's all about.
