I have a few words for those that made this list...and they are not pleasant.
Yet for our current president I am very concerned for the future. I have been following closely what has been happening. Of late that has troubled my mind has been the consideration of developing Nuke bunker buster bombs and the possibility of nuclear testing. What causes me to fear is the acceptance that a "nuke" could be considered a battle field weapon. How soon would a "nuke" intended for deep earth penitration be considered for above ground us to destroy mobile formations?
The cancellation of the ABM treaty is another cause for concern and the insistant developement of "Star Wars" missile defense. Why would some third world power spend billions on developing the damn things and then many hundreds of millions more on a delivery vehical. It would make more sence for these countries to smuggle the things in to their targets and all the Darth Vaders atop orbiting Death Stars wouldn't matter for all the costs involved.
But of the current Iraq conflict--it was a fools trip made by the King of Fools. The military planning was near perfect--but the peace winning aspect leaves much to be desired. Sadly we have lost creditability with our own allies. In the future if a real threat comes along, just how supportive might they be to deal with a real threat? Now with North Korea we have but to hope that China of all countries will have to come to our aid top resolve this issue--anyone remember that little spy plane of ours that found its way on that Chinese island?
Granted many of these people mentioned in this list are flakes to be sure, but nevertheless had G. W. Bush listened to a few others outside his own inner circle our armed forces wouldn't be used for target practise this day.
All I can say is thank God I have no son--but as I sit here I weep in my soul for those whose sons live this nighmare now.
