As for why - it's simple - most of us draw a 6 anti-clockwise, and our brains aren't capable enough of doing both clockwise and anti-clockwise at the same time.

It's a little like the "Pat your head and rub your tummy" trick - it takes concentration to do two very different actions at once.

Try drawing the 6 clockwise - starting at the center, and moving out. Does your foot change direction? Nope!

We humans arent' as smart as we thought we were, are we?
