Well I, for one, am offended that you would think that a guy would even THINK about engaging in such coarse, uncivilized behavior!
However, if you took the time to replace the light with one of those penlight lasers, then added a motor to control the positioning, well all that would be required is a small – oh, less than 5K if you wrote it in assembly language – program to sequentially step the laser through a particular pattern, why all you’d need would be to ensure that you could get a steady 5V DC for the programmed logic chip, and 12 V to the stepping motor. Now, you’d need to isolate the two circuits, as the voltage spikes from the stepper motor might cause problems on the logic circuit (JK flip flop transistors are quite sensitive to noise, you know). All in, I’d guess not more than a couple grand in startup costs, plus the time to write the code.
…but I am MORTIFIED that you’d suggest that anyone of my gender would engage in such a barbaric action as to scrawl graffiti on the inside of their beloved - although if you used Monotype Corsiva, it would add a certain class, don’t you think?
