Yes, I love the energy...I seem to feed off of people's vibes, as strange as that sounds. There have been concerts where you are standing, waiting in anticipation...the crowd is cheering, yelling, going wild...then the curtain drops and you hear that first chord, and you instantly know what song they are opening up with...
One example, I was a roadie for Metallica (just for one day hehe) and I was standing on the side of the stage, the crowd was going nuts, waiting for them to go on...the lights were down, and the stage was bathed in cool, blue lights...then I saw the band start to run down the gauntlet around the stage, and the crowd erupted when James hit the stage first...his ESP strapped on and his hand raised high for a moment...then BAM, like a hammer his fist came down, the distortion running like a tidal wave through your body, and the crowd went into a frenzy, their cheers like thunder, rising up like storm...the hairs on my body stood up on end and I joined in their exultation...total, kick ass. Makes me wish I was better at playing, because I know, it is 100 times better to be on stage then down below...anyway, afterwards I was so drained, it was great.
