My kids have come to accept (and patronize:rolleyes  me ever since the solar eclipse in 73 when I came home from the plant with welding helmets for both of them. Now I get to harass my granddaughters as well and have been doing that for over a week about this. With two scopes and a 35mm cam ready, they were more disappointed than I was when we couldn’t see the top of the trees in the clouds.  It’s hard enough to get interest in these spectacular events. I just hope it hasn’t backfired and turned off these young eyes.
