We were watching a news program (48 Hours I think?) tonight and they were interviewing a former POW who happened to be a woman. One of the questions asked of her was about men being raped. Her response was that, yes, it has happened, and probably will continue to happen, but the men will not talk about it like a woman does. The armed services will keep records of what a POW went through physically and mentally once released, but the information probably will not become public knowlege. While captured (in Iraq during Desert Storm - a doctor on a medical helicoptor that went down - they don't care about the Geneva Convention regarding protecting medics during war) she was shot, had 2 broken arms and was raped. Sure, she said it was terrible, but she also stated that she was suffering from so much more that at the time, it was just one more thing.
