I can remember my oldest, when asked who he wanted to marry when he got older (he was 5 or 6), replied without hesitation, "Scotty" (his best friend......looking back it makes perfect sense). And Scotty's mom was not amused but I knew that boys at 5 and 6 would rather spend time with men and boys. Like Oldfart said, they are learning to be boys. They may try on "feminine" behaviors and traits to see how it all feels. It's wonderful you don't get all warped about it.
In my 3 year old classroom one year 5 out of my 8 dads were on the local SWAT team. I loved nothing more then to torment them with pics of their little boys dressed in tu-tus, hats, heels, and purses  Some of them were so homophobic. I'm evil I know
