LOL - I'm not Catholic ... but several years ago heard that in the middle ages they called it Pancake Tuesday because they would take all the ingredients that they were going to give up for Lent and use them to make Pancakes .... Sugar, Eggs, Flour ... Since then I always try to have Pancakes on Fat Tuesday ... it's a good excuse anyway since I love pancakes.
