In the distant past, we always had turkey for Thanksgiving and a ham for Christmas. Mrs. WI is not crazy about pork, so we've had turkey for both holidays since we got married a hundred or so years ago. This year we are going to have a nice roast. Well, I hope it turns out nice. It looked beautiful when Giada cooked it.
Side dishes will include the usual cast of characters. Mashed potatoes, candied yams, sautéed green beans and a nice salad. I might throw a batch of polenta in as well. And we'll probably make a veggie lasagna for consumption at some point too.
