Well, I didn't find an official translation, but I made an attempt at it. The Grand Dérangement is "The Great Upheaval", the Deportation of the Acadians.
J'entends dans l'orage
(I hear in the thunderstorm)
Qui bat dans le village
(That beats in the village)
L'écho d'une chanson
(The echo of a song)
Qui soulage
(That comforts)
Au coeur de la tempête
(In the heart of the storm)
Un million d'images
(A million images)
D'un peuple qui réclame son courage
(Of a people that reclaims its courage)
Même si on nous a chassés
(Even if they chased us away)
Et jetés dans le vent
(And threw us to the winds)
`Y a jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
Non `y a jamais jamais eu
(No there never never was)
`Y a jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
Un jour dans un mille ans
(One day in a thousand years)
Les enfants de nos enfants
(The children of our children)
Auront pris l'air d'un nouveau chant
(Will have taken the melody of a new song)
(They will have swept away the burdens of their past)
Et relancé milliers de bâtiments
(And set forth thousands of ships)
(It will go without saying, without the quarrels of yore)
(That there never was a Grand Dérangement)
Non `y a jamais jamais eu
(No there never never was)
`Y a jamais jamais eu
(There never never was)
`Y a jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
(If through our veins the blood still flows)
`Y jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
(If in children's games one still hears the accent)
`Y a jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
(If we still feel the hope of our grandparents)
`Y a jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
(If in the sails on the sea, the wind still blows)
`Y a jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
Non `y a jamais jamais eu, `Y a jamais jamais eu
(No there never never was, there never never was)
`Y a jamais eu de Grand Dérangement
(There never was a Grand Dérangement)
