Haven't seen mama back and so I guess she's abandoned even the one that looks okay. It's been so cool at night, I suspect that little duckling is gone too. I know that animals (including people) do take lives of other animals to eat ... but we were just a bit excited at the prospect of seeing her brood hatch. Just hope the mom is okay.
