STO---The octane of the gas that you use;should be based on the
compresson of your engine. Before the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Loredo(sp?)that I just got for my wife;I bought her a new 1999
Pontiac Grand Am GT.It had a Ram Air V6 engine. The dealer said
that you could use Regular 87 octane in it.I never did.I would hate
to see the inside of the engine if I did. They'll tell you anything to
make a sale.When we bought it;the salesman;told my wife;all kinds of wrong things.My best friends father&granfather owened
the Pontiac dealership;in my home town.I was working with their
Head Mechanic;when I was 12.It's a good thing that I was with
her because I knew more(mechanically)about the car then the
salesman did! Irish
P.S.I love Pontiacs!
