I say throw the book at her, and the teacher from Nebraska who ran off to Mexico with her student. Adolescent boys' fantasies aside, pedophilia is pedophilia. Healthy adults do not want to have sex with children, regardless of the genders of the participants. If it's wrong for an adult man to have sex with a young girl, then it's wrong in the other direction, too. Period.

I taught for many years, and I took (and still take) in loco parentis very seriously. Children are to be protected; anyone who would take advantage of them should be strung up, in my opinion.
