I don't expect there are many couples out there who'd manage to choose the same person unwittingly twice. If you can fall in love with someone all over again like that, then surely they should agree to stay together and make changes in their marriage?

No, Lou, that is my thought, too. Clearly, they are able to communicate without the burden of the years getting in the way. I often think about that, how amnesia would be so helpful in a marriage. You wake up and think "God, who is this fantastically witty and handsome man in my bed? He rocks. I'm so lucky!" Which is what we thought when we first knew them, and is a helluva lot better than, "Damnit, he left all the lights on in the house AGAIN!"  |
