Men Say Thongs Are The Sexiest Skivvies
NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Here's proof that thong underwear was created to please men, not women.
In a new lingerie survey by Maidenform, men overwhelmingly chose the thong as the most sexy undergarment. Meanwhile, women says bras are most alluring, and rank thongs much lower.
Another surprise: The garter belt, long a staple of sexy underwear stores like Frederick's of Hollywood, came in at the bottom of the rankings. Only 8 percent of men and 11 percent of women say it's sexy.
Other results from the panty poll...
-- 54 percent of men think women wear lingerie "to look sexy" and "to appeal to men," but 28 percent of ladies confess they mostly wear it "to cover up their bodies."
-- The average woman polled owns 10 bras but only wears six of them.
-- Finally, Halle Berry is the celebrity both men and women feel has the perfect breast size.
