Fussy's probably got it right for both of us:

I love the idea of swinging, but in reality I would worry too much about emotional repercussions further down the line, and don't think I could risk my relationship for the sake of sex.

Maybe, if we got to a point where our relationship was suffering because of an undynamic sex life, and it was try swinging or end the relationship, then of course, I'd try swinging.
